Cardiology (from Greek καρδίᾱ, kardiā, 'heart'; and -λογία, -logia) is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the heart (specifically the human heart). The field includes diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology.
