Qualifications
Dr. Naguib earned his medical degree from Cairo University, Egypt. He completed his master’s degree from Ain Sham University, Egypt and Degree of Doctor in Pediatrics from the same university.
He also has a postgraduate diploma in diabetes from Leicester University, UK.
Experience
Dr. Naguib has extensive experience in pediatric pulmonary medicine with special interests in asthma management and follow up, chest wall deformities, and pulmonary complications of neuromuscular and sickle cell disease.
He also has up-to-date experience in the management of young children and teenagers with endocrine and metabolic disorders specially childhood diabetes and obesity. This includes modern therapeutic interventions like continuous blood glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy and motivational interviewing.
Dr. Naguib is also running a general pediatric clinic that deals with all common pediatric problems and follow up like febrile illness in children, vaccinations, nutritional advice, growth and development monitoring–etc.
Dr. Naguib’s professional experience also includes academic appointments with the University of Sharjah, UAE, as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
He is also the chairman of Chairman CME Committee at UHS and provides leadership, coordination and direction to both internal and external CME programs.
Special Interests
Dr. Naguib is board certified in general pediatrics, pediatric diabetology and pulmonology. His special interests include pediatric pulmanolog, management of pediatric intensive care bound patients and pediatric endocrinology, including disorders of growth, adrenal glands, thyroid, calcium and phosphorus metabolism, pubertal development, diabetes mellitus in children, and childhood obesity.
