Medication dispensed with proper labeling and instructions regarding the usage, and dosage, as well as information on side effects and precautions Medication supplied to In-Patients via the nursing units as per MCME standards and guidelines (under supervision of a Pharmacist)
Assist Pharmacist with receiving prescriptions, verifying correctness of information, labeling of bottles, IV mixing or any other task given by the Pharmacist (under supervision of a Pharmacist)
Must have basic knowledge of insurance procedures and billing conditions.
Standard bulk formulations prepared and packaged as directed
Medication stock levels maintained at both Pharmacy and Ward level
Medication storage and drug administration inspected to ensure it is in line with Hospital standards
Stock management transactions processed
Medication and other pharmaceutical supplies replenished at ward level.
Records kept of medication and controlled drug distribution
Stock is ordered, received, and issued according to MCME stock management principles
Defective products are indentified and replaced
Inter-hospital stock transfers are controlled
Stocktake done according to stocktake manual
Stocktake variances addressed and explained
Medication prescriptions filled
Patient profile record prepared and maintained if required
Involvement with the patient billing process in Pharmacy as required
Pharmacy Diploma from an accredited institution
2-3 years of relevant experience required, preferably in a Hospital
Computer literacy at intermediate level (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Email, Internet)
Proficient in English and Arabic (speak, read, write)
