Dr. Abdelsalam Hegazy

Abdelsalam Hegazy MD is Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon who has extensive experience in Adult and Pediatric Orthopedic Trauma and more than 20 years of General Orthopedic experience.

Between 1995 and 2000 he completed Orthopedic and Traumatology training at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. In 2008, he earned his board certificate in Turkey and became a member of the Turkish Orthopedic and Traumatology Educational Council (TOTEC).

In 2012, he did his Pediatric Orthopedic clinical Fellowship at Toronto University Sickkids Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

In addition to his experience in adult and pediatric orthopedic trauma, he is specialized in lower limb problems. In particular, leg length discrepancy and deformity, developmental hip dysplasia, and foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Hegazy is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Orthopedic Surgery in Weill Cornell Medical College. In addition to his interest in teaching, he has published many peer reviewed articles and book chapters in his field.
