Follicular Unit Extraction also known as FUE is a process where follicular unit grafts are extracted from the area on your scalp which is bald resistant. Fue Hair transplant procedure makes use of a micro-punch, usually in the range of 0.7mm – 1.00mm in diameter. Prior to the extraction of the follicular units, We cut the hair short in the donor area so the scalp can be seen more clearly. The extracted follicular units can either be stored in a special solution or alternatively can be placed directly into the balding areas, depending on the surgeon’s preference. Whichever way, the quality of hair follicles remains the same. Usually, Saline solution is used to hold the extracted hair follicles. In some cases buffers, nutrients or antioxidants can be used too. Once we have collected sufficient grafts, we transplant them into the recipient area. Although, the recipient area needs to be prepared before the hair transplant. Several small incisions are made on the in the recipient areas. Follicular units are then placed in those tiny incisions. Only one unit can be accommodated in each incision. This point marks completion of the FUE hair transplant procedure.
