Dubai, UAE: Avicenna Partners Limited, an emerging markets healthcare investment firm based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, today completed an investment in e-Kare Inc., a US-based wound management technology company and the first spin-off company from the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Peyvand Khaleghian, MD, Ph.D., of Avicenna Partners will join the Board of e-Kare Inc.
e-Kare Inc.’s pioneering 3D wound assessment technology enables health care providers to take accurate and reliable measurement of woundsat the point of care. The company’s mission is to standardize wound measurement and simplify care management, which in turn improves quality and outcome of wound care.
