Dubai, UAE: Khalifa Al Darrai, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), has signed a cooperation agreement with Mr. Essa Al Ghurair, Chairman of Prime Healthcare Group, earlier this month.
This agreement aims the cooperation between the two institutions by transporting DCAS patients to Prime Hospital facilities and by enable the Hospital to access to the Patient Information System. This way, the medical center will be able to determine in advance, the doctors and paramedics available and required in each case.
The main objectives of the accord are to reduce the time it takes transferring patients to the nearest hospital as well as, provide superior and appropriate services to the patients, along with the best available methods of treatments. According to this, Prime Hospital is committed to facilitate an ambulance station for a quick patient’s assistance, all the necessary equipment, devices and doctors and/or specialists; in addition to a hotline number for the injured and their families.
Dr. Jamil Ahmed, Managing Director of the Group stated: “This agreement is another step towards cooperation between public and private sector that definitely, will lead in to a better healthcare service to Dubai and UAE citizens”.
This is the fourth agreement hold between DCAS and a private hospital. Mr. Khalifa Al Daraai praised Prime Hospital management team for its fruitful cooperation and expressed his hope for the agreement to contribute to the consolidation of medical and ambulance work to achieve both parties’ common interest: to preserve UAE citizens’ lives, by providing the best services in the shortest time possible.
The signing took place in DCAS Headquarters. The event was attended by Isa al-Ghafari, director of institutional support management; Neil Kirby, director of operations management; Omar Saqqaf, Director of Medical and Technical Affairs; Meshaal Julfar, head of emergency operations department; and Ali Musa, Head of Events Section and the transfer of patients at DCAS. From Prime Hospital, also attend the event: Dr. Jamil Ahmed, Managing Director of the Group; Mr. Tanweer Alam, Dy. Manager Marketing; and Dr. Osman El Bakry, Business Development Manager who coordinated the tie-up.
Dr. Jamil made a presentation about facilities and services of the hospital. They also watched a documentary film about the history of the organization and the services it provides to the community.
The agreement is within the framework of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai vision; and the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, to follow-up and activate the partnership between the public and private sectors as well as, promoting the cooperation and coordination between them.
