Latifa Hospital is a hospital for Women and Children. It is one of the largest maternity and children's hospital in the UAE and was built in 1987. The hospital was previously known as Al Wasl hospital and was renamed Latifa Hospital on the 4th of January, 2012 as per the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to pay homage to the loving memory of his late mother Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed issued this directive on the sixth anniversary of his accession as the Ruler of Dubai.
Latifa Hospital provides tertiary care for maternal and neonatal services including paediatric and neonatal surgery as well as treatment for genetic and metabolic issues. The hospital has a well-equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an expert team of health care professionals who provide international levels of neonatal, Pediatric and maternal care. Latifa Hospital serves as a referral hospital due to its highly sophisticated and well equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Fetomaternal services and the Paediatric Surgery Unit.
Latifa hospital was accredited by JCI in 2007 and re-accredited in 2010 and 2013. Latifa hospital currently has 344 beds which are distributed across the following services: : Obstetrics, Gynecology, Paediatric Medical ,Paediatric Surgery and Neonatology . These sections are supported with all necessary services and highly sophisticated equipment in order to offer high quality patient care.
Latifa Hospital was conferred 'Baby Friendly' hospital status in Feburary 2011 by UNICEF for its effective implementation of practices that protect, promote and support breastfeeding.

I’ve taken my time to write for this hospital a review,about a week ago, I got contractions and I didn’t have any single coin to cater for my bills, I was rashes to Latifah hospital and I told them to just give me pain killers , honestly am typing this with tears, this hospital members didn’t let me go even for a second ,instead they took care of me,they read the pain in my heart even without telling them my story, honestly they took good care of me ,treated me well,fed me well. After inducing me ,we realised I need c-section,this got me worried but this hospital members worked on me in a very professional way,I was at the hospital for 5 days, it is very clean, treatment is by far the best, there meals are nice and the staff members are nice. Honestly once I heal I promise to work hard and pay this hospital. All my thanks to the ceo, doctors and nurses , you saved my life . If your looking for the sign ,then let this be your go ahead,trust me this is a very good hospital ❤️

I had a positive experience at Latifa Hospital. The staff and nurses were professional, attentive, and caring. They made sure all my needs were met and provided excellent support throughout my visit.
