Abu Dhabi, UAE: Residents in Al Shamkha in Abu Dhabi can expect new facilities as Al Shamkha Healthcare Centre opened on Monday.
The centre, which is licensed by the Health Authority–Abu Dhabi, will provide specialised consultations in the emirate and will be open from Sunday to Thursday from 9am to 9pm.
Services also include vaccinations, screening, chronic disease management, radiology, clinical breast examination, mother-and-child care and dentistry, among others.
The centre also plans to introduce cardiology and ophthalmology at a later date.
“Our new facility will include six physicians, 23 nurses, two dentists, two dental assistants, four phlebotomists and four pharmacists to ensure patients receive premium medical attention and their well-being is prioritised,” said Mohammad Hawas, acting CEO at Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS).
He added that the centre aspires to meet international standards of health care.
AHS, part of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), has already introduced specialty services at the Madinat Mohammead Bin Zayed Healthcare Centre, which was received over 8,500 patients since its opening in June 2013.
