Dubai, UAE: Dead diction centre and a school are among the Dh495 million worth projects announced by the Ministry of Infrastructure Development on Monday.
According to informed sources, the specialised hospital for treating drug addicts against Dh433 million will be built in Dubai.
“The Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital is to be built soon as per the latest international health and green architecture standards to enhance to the health sector in the country.”
The project, widely considered as one of the best five buildings worldwide, is to be a major hospital for treating drug addicts in the Middle East, the source added.
“The new hospital will meet the standards of green buildings where the latest psychiatric treatment techniques will be provided at the hands of competent experts in a friendly atmosphere and with full medical care as due.”
The 277-bed hospital comprising a main building, a number of central service blocks, an advanced laboratory, and a special unit for treating polluted water is being built on the Shaikh Zayed Road on a total area of 100,000sqmt. “The Government of Dubai has provided the strategic location of the project following a thorough technical study to serve all emirates of the country.”
Other projects in the package include a school at Manama area in Ajman against Dh10.5 million and a cultural centre against Dh51.5million in Fujairah
“The Ibn Hazm School for Basic & Secondary Education, an addition to the education sector, is to be completed and receive students before the beginning of the new academic year 2016/2017.”
“The pioneering cultural centre project, being built on a total area of 31,000, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2017, giving a boost to the cultural activities in the northern emirate.”
Earlier, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has announced four security projects in Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.
