UAE: The Ministry of Health has directed all medical districts and primary health centres to set the official work hours during the holy month of Ramadan.
The ministry has issued a circular in this regard to all authorities concerned. Dr Mahmoud Fikri, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Policies at the ministry, said: “All our healthcare services will be available during the holy month. As for hospitals, the work hours will be set as per the circular and the emergency departments will continue to work throughout the day in all hospitals.”
The ministry called on the directors of all medical districts and primary health centres to implement the circular to ensure the availability of health services for the nationals and residents during Ramadan.
Dr Fikri held a meeting with the directors of primary health centres to discuss their preparations for the holy month and ways to avoid congestion during certain hours.
