Dr. Shubha Saldanha, having worked with various organizations in India and Kuwait, comes with an experience of more than 6 years. She possess thorough knowledge of current practices involving all specialties in clinical ophthalmology. Dr. Shubha keeps herself updated by being an active participant at the CME and CPD events through various organizations and affiliations.

Dr. Shubha Saldanha pursued her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. She obtained her Master’s qualification in Ophthalmology in 2006. In the year 2009, Dr. Shubha advanced her qualification with Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) for the practice of Ophthalmology from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

  • Proficient in eye checkups for adult as well as Children with various eye problems.
  • Refraction, Evaluation of Squint, management of Dry eye conditions & Computer vision syndrome.
  • Anterior segment diseases evaluation and management such as Infections, Autoimmune andbAllergic disorders of the eye. Screening and medical management of Glaucoma.
  • Screening of Diabetic and Hypertensive retinopathy.
  • Skillful in performing common and minor surgical procedures like chalazion, PTDs, cyst excisions corneal foreign body removals, etc.
  • Experienced in various diagnostic studies like – Fundus Fluorescein angiography, Optical coherence tomography, Ultrasound B-scan, topography &Visual fields.
  • Well versed in therapeutic laser procedures like Nd YAG laser capsulotomy, Peripheral Iridotomy
  • Adept in counselling patients for Major surgeries and guiding them with preoperative work up.
  • Patient and family counselling regarding common eye conditions, vision problems and comprehensive eye care.

Dr. Shubha Saldanha has also published a doctoral thesis titled, ‘Outcomes with refractive and diffractive multifocal intraocular lenses after cataract surgery – a prospective study’
