Dr Alrawi is currently the Director of all Surgical Oncology Services at Alzahra Cancer Center in the Heart of Dubai and its tertiary referral cancer center for all UAE, hosting highly specialized surgical oncology subspecialties, including Colorectal, Breast oncology, Head & Neck Surgery, Urology, Gynecological Oncology, Sarcoma/ Melanoma and Peritoneal surface malignancy, in addition to pancreatic and hepatic surgery. DR Alrawi was the Chief of Surgical Oncology Divison at Tawam Hospital and was the interim chair of department of surgery from October 2013-September 2015. Tawam Hospital is affiliated with JOHN HOPKINS Medical System. Dr Alrawi major interest is Gastrointestinal Oncology, including Esophageal, Gastric, Pancreas, Liver and colonic surgery with special interest in endocrine surgery including thyroid , parathyroid and adrenal surgery, Sadir Alrawi, was the Chief of the Surgical Oncology Program at Comprehensive Cancer Center of 21st Century in Jacksonville, Florida from 2008- 2013. Prior to that, Dr. Alrawi was an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery/Division of Surgical Oncology at University of Florida, Jacksonville. Dr Alrawi trained in various Academic institutes in Surgical Oncology all over including Roswell Park, Cancer institute, Buffalo, Royal Free Hospital, UC of London and Ninewells Hospital, U of Dundee Dr. Alrawi, who is American board certified, completed his Head & Neck fellowship and Surgical Oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer institute (NCI) designated in 2006. Dr Alrawi did advanced Laparoscpic oncology training with Professor Alfred Cuschieri in Dundee 1992-1993, advanced colorectal oncology training with E Lloyd Davis in Cornwall, England 1993-1995 and advanced surgical oncology with Professor Marc Winslett, London 1995-1996. He has received many academic and scholarly honors while in training and during his clinical practice years, and is an often-invited speaker at both public and professional meetings dedicate to helping education with cancer management. Dr. Alrawi has been involved in numerous research activities throughout his career in an effort to improve our understanding of cancer early diagnosis and multidispilinary approach. In his 28 year experience of Surgical Oncology, Dr Alrawi was able to publish more than 50 papers in peer reviewed journals and more than 150 presentations in local, national and international meetings both in clinical and basic siences and published 10 book chapters Dr. Alrawi is passionate about community outreach, and fervently believes that cancer care and health awareness, coupled with excellence in cancer diagnosis and treatment handled in multidisplinary approach by specialized team, can and will continue to save lives.

Dr. Sadir Jumaa Al Rawi saved my life. He is not just a doctor who has an outstanding talent in his field of surgery and oncology, but he is doctor with an exceptional gift of compassion and healing care for his patients. I am 32 years old, female and married. I was recently diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid cancer last Dec. 2017. Like with anyone else, it came as a shock because I was asymptomatic and I felt healthy before I found out that I had a small lump on my right thyroid, which by chance I just accidentally detected. I had series of tests and sought the best advice and opinions of the different specialist doctors in Dubai, which led me to pursue the best doctor who would handle my case. I have a medical background paving the way to quite an understanding about my medical condition. I was already scheduled for a bilateral thyroidectomy procedure in one of the reputable hospitals here in Dubai, but all my doubts weren’t resolved at that time. After thorough consultations with different good consultants, they all mentioned that Dr. Sadir Al Rawi would be the best Doctor who could handle my case given his undeniable vast expertise both in a critical thyroid surgery and oncology. When I first met Dr. Sadir, I immediately felt that I will be in good hands. He was so warm, humble, and his mere presence was very assuring that I would be in great care. His profile is incomparable. His extensive experience in the field of surgery and oncology is unmatched. He made a thorough check on my neck and found out that cancer has metastasized to both left and right lyphnodes of my neck contrary to my previous diagnosis. His team made up of compassionate and highly skilled professionals namely Dr. Dina, Dr. Huma, Dr. Arun, Dr. Sobhy, and RN Immanuel made my experience easier. My surgery was done last January 23, 2018 and it was very successful. My voice was unchanged and Dr. Sadir successfully removed and cleaned my entire neck from cancer. I felt the assurance that I am completely cured from cancer. It wouldn’t have been possible without the early detection of the metastatic cancer and the exceptional skill of Dr. Sadir Al Rawi. I couldn’t thank enough Dr. Sadir and his team for the continuity of care and for the love that they have shown me.

I was recently diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism. Various tests were conducted including a sestamibi scan and CT scan. I was then referred to Dr. Sadir AlRawi of Al Zahra Hospital in Al Barsha. During my first meeting with him, he made me feel at ease, had a very likable personality and he was very honest and upfront about my situation. By the time I went to him I had already done the sestamibi scan. Upon looking at the images, he immediately said that the tumor was located in the left inferior. He then sent me for further scans including the ultrasound and Choline Pet scan. None of the tests conclusively confirmed the location of the adenoma. Additionally, a scan had revealed a nodule on my thyroid which needed to be investigated further. Dr Sadir talked me through my options. As I am alone in Dubai I was hesitant about having the surgery in case something went wrong and I would not have any support base here with me. A week later I called Dr Sadir's nurse and told him that I would proceed with the surgery. My decision to go ahead with the surgery was because I believed in his expertise and I liked the fact that he always spoke about 'his team' and not just about himself. I had the surgery on 9 December 2017. From the admissions person to the nurses, anesthetist, assistant doctors and of course Dr Sadir AlRawi, I could not fault my experience. I spent one night in hospital and I feel like a new person. My calcium is now in normal range, my PTH level when I initially saw Dr Sadir was 194 and is now 32. I would highly recommend Dr Sadir AlRawi and his team. My sincere thanks to you all for giving me my life back. Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2018.

My Father ( Ahsan Minhas ) was a patient of an esophagus cancer which is treated in Al Zahra hospital by the Great Doctor Dr. Sadir Alrawi. He has done my dad's surgery about 1 year ago & my dad is still in his recovery period with the help of Dr. Sadir Alrawi. Dr.Sadir is the best doctor & in my dad's life he came as an angel & saved his life from this dangerous disease. We all are very thankful to Dr. Sadir and pray that he have a long life & keep saving people's life as he saved my dad's.

I have been admitted to Zahra hospital and my name is Noora, I had thyroid disease and I did operation before but I got the disease again the I heard about Dr. Sadeer Al Rawi, consultant oncology surgeon, he is the only one in the UAE who gave me 97% successful to do the operation again and I did it. It was so difficult and complicated operation but thank to God and Dr. Sadeer he did it and after tow days only I left the hospital and now I am in good health and all my test result was perfect again I want to thank Dr. Sadeer Al Rawi for what he did for me

When I needed to be hospitalized I wasn't sure what to expect especially I wasn't living in Dubai long enough to know anything about the medical service and coming from Canada with its excellent Medical service I was happily surprised and glad for the superb care I got at the Zahra hospital. The outstanding care of Dr. Sadir Al Rawi and the followup step by step with all the details and clarity is amazing it makes you feel you are his only patient. The caring and follow ups after operation of Dr. Khaled Koutish makes everyone feels thing will get better. The gentle touch of Dr. Iklas and the clarity of communication prepares you for everything. I was overwhelmed of all these Doctors qualification and high experience. My stay in the hospital was so comfortable to the point I filter as if I was in a hotel. Thank you everybody for the care you gave me during my stay in the hospital and please keep up the good work.

I spent 34 consecutive days in Al Zahra Hospital this year under the care of Dr Sadir J Alrawi. Thanks to his skill and that of his hard-working team my serious pancreatic condition was successfully operated on and I was able to return to normal life.I still see Dr Sadir, Dr Dina, and Immanuel almost every week for follow up consultations and procedures as my recovery continues.I can't praise AZHD and Dr Sadir's team highly enough. I might have died without their intervention and now I'm back at work and back with my friends and loved ones. A second chance indeed
