Sawsan Halawi is ICLDC’s first clinical psychologist, joining a growing multidisciplinary team and fulfilling a new and crucial part of ICLDC’s diabetes care program in 2016. Sawsan has a decade of experience that includes counselling, psychotherapy, psychogeriatric and group therapy. She now provides ICLDC’s patients with psychological interventions which tackle the common problems of depression, anxiety, smoking and chronic pain management.
Sawsan uses the biosychosocial therapy model which she applies when treating diabetic, hypertensive patients as well as those with anxiety and depression.
