Dr Hameed Raina cured my father’s radiation proctitis which he got after radiation treatment for prostate cancer. He was able to treat this with Argon Plasma Coagulation and was very efficient kind and effective. We came twice for a procedure with him as in the first session he discovered and ulcer. He is up on the latest research and knew a medicine that my dad could use for 3 months to heal this ulcer. We then came back for a second APC treatment and the ulcer is completely healed as well as the remaining proctitis. Highly recommended knowledgeable and skilled doctor. Thank you so much!

I had been suffering from difficulty in swallowing food and even liquids for several years. I visited many hospitals across the UAE, but unfortunately, no one could identify the exact cause of my problem. Eventually, I stopped seeking treatment and continued to suffer silently. Last month, my condition worsened—especially during sleep. The food I ate started coming back through my mouth and even nose in the middle of the night. That’s when I decided to visit Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where I consulted Dr. Hameed Raina in the gastroenterology department. Dr. Hameed conducted several tests and finally diagnosed me with Achalasia Cardia, a condition I had never heard of before. He clearly explained everything to me and suggested a treatment called POEM procedure (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy), which he performed on June 1st. I was admitted for 5 days and discharged on June 5th. Today, I can confidently say that I feel much better—I can eat and drink normally without any pain or discomfort. I had been suffering from stomach-esophagus reflux since early 2024. Despite taking various medications, I saw no significant improvement. Over time, my condition worsened, leading to partial food regurgitation and eventually almost complete food discharge in the last two weeks. After consulting another specialist, I underwent a Barium X-ray and a manometry test, which confirmed that I had Achalasia Cardia, requiring urgent surgery. I was then referred to Dr. Hameed Raina (Gastroenterologist, Burjeel Hospital Abu Dhabi), who has successfully performed over 20 surgeries for this condition. From my very first meeting with Dr. Hameed, I felt reassured. He thoroughly reviewed my previous reports, conducted additional X-rays and tests, and first treated a fungal infection for a week before proceeding with surgery. Dr. Raina is a proficient gastroenterologist doctor. I had an episode of acute Pancreatitis last year and I was under supervision of Dr. Raina and with his experience and ability I was treated in the best possible way.
