Dr Shifa Balla Mohammed Salih is a Consultant Paediatrician with over 25 years of extensive experience.  She specializes in in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes in children.

Dr Shifa completed her MBBS at the R.N.T. Medical College, Rajasthan University, India in 1992. In 2000, she completed her Post Graduate clinical training at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children Yorkville, University of Glasgow, UK. In 2003, she became a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health - UK and in 2014, then became a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health - UK. In 2016, Dr Shifa received her Paediatric Endocrine Clinical Fellowship (ESPE Training) from Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital, Wales, NHS Cardiff University, UK.

Dr Shifa started her medical practice as a Registrar in Paediatrics at a government hospital in Abu Dhabi. Then in 2003, she became a Specialist Paediatrician at the same hospital. In 2014, she became a Consultant in Paediatrics at a government oil and gas facility in the emirate.  In 2016, she continued her practice as a Consultant Paediatrician in government health facilities in Abu Dhabi. Before joining NMC Healthcare – Bareen Cluster, she was a Consultant in Pediatrics in a large government hospital.

Dr Shifa has also worked as Senior Lecturer and as an Educator which provides clinical teaching and training to medical student intern doctors. She has completed several trainings and workshops held internationally and published various projects in international publications.

Dr Shifa has an extensive experience in acute, emergency inpatient, and outpatient services, general paediatrics and neonatology.
