Dr. Wafaa Faysal is a highly experienced consultant paediatrician. She earned her medical degree with a specialization in paediatrics from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and later obtained a Certificate in Paediatric Nutrition from Boston University School of Medicine, USA. Dr. Faysal is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and the Lebanese Order of Physicians.
Throughout her career, Dr. Wafaa has held several prestigious positions that have enriched her knowledge and skills. She has served as the Chair of the Global Paediatric Congress and as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Sharjah University, College of Medicine. She has also been an Assistant Professor at Lebanese University and Beirut Arab University. Additionally, she has actively participated in various scientific committees for regional and international conferences, sharing her expertise and contributing to the advancement of paediatric healthcare.
Dr. Wafaa has a broad range of expertise in general paediatrics and is adept at diagnosing and treating various childhood diseases. Her areas of expertise include asthma, atopic dermatitis (eczema), allergic rhinitis, food allergy and all allergic conditions in children, childhood constipation, nocturnal enuresis, short stature and growth problems, early puberty, eating disorders including picky eaters, anemias, jaundice, developmental delay, autism, ADHD, breathing problems including adenoid hypertrophy, fever of unknown origin and relapsing fever, kawasaki disease, hydronephrosis. and all childhood infections from pneumonia, pleural effusion, urinary tract infections, gastroenteritis, chronic diarrhea, skin infections, ear and throat infection. She offers childhood and adolescent vaccinations and ear piercing for girls in addition to the regular assessment of growth and development in Children.
