Dr. Shweta Uppal

Dr. Shweta Uppal is the Chair of Laboratory Services across United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical) including Danat Al Emarat Hospital and HealthPlus Network of Specialty Centers.

Dr. Uppal completed her MBBS from the Goa Medical College in India and obtained her diploma in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology in the USA with the American Board of Pathology. Her other qualifications include fellowships done in surgical pathology, oncology and cytopathology, as well as a certification of the American Board of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Uppal has worked at a number of leading healthcare organizations, including the Super Religare Reference Lab in Dubai Healthcare City and India, and Wilkes Barre General Hospital in USA. She also has teaching experience at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey, USA and the Aureus University School of Medicine Aruba. Dr. Uppal has extensive scientific experience and has participated in studies on topics such as the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Adenomyoma of the Cervix and Ovarian Hemangioma. Dr. Uppal is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board and a key opinion leader for Becton Dickinson Middle East.
