Dr. Sherif Amer has over 14 years of clinical experience in the field of Cardiology. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1995; his Master of Cardiology in 2002; and his Medical Doctorate of Cardiology (Ph.D.) in 2009 at Ain Shams University, Egypt. He took his clinical fellowship from University of Pittsburg, Italy in 2006 and became a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of United Kingdom (MRCP) on the same year.
His experience in clinical and interventional cardiology includes performing primary, elective coronary angiography, angioplasty, peripheral angiography, and angioplasty; heart, lung transplantation and stem cell application. His field of practice includes Stress ECG, Trans-oesophageal and trans-thoracic echo, tissue Doppler echo including resynchronization evaluation, interventional catheterization (coronary PTCA and stent, peripheral PTA, stenting including renal and carotid angioplasty), and permanent pacemaker implantation.
