Dr. Abdulbaqi Alkhatib

Prof. Dr. Abdulbaqi Alkhatib, Consultant Plastic Surgery, graduated from Baghdad University (MBChB) and further pursued his qualification in PU.PH in Plastic Surgery in Paris, France. He subsequently became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Glasgow, UK.

Prof. Dr. Abdulbaqi Alkhatib was the Head of Plastic Surgery Department in the College of Medicine, Baghdad University and in the Medical City Teaching Hospital for Specialised Surgery, Baghdad. He is the Founder and Chairman of Iraqi Cleft Lip and Palate Center. He has worked in Zayed Military Hospital for ten years where he was also the Head of Plastic Surgery Department.

His field of interest includes Cosmetic Surgery and Anti-Ageing Procedures, Face Lift, Eyebrow Lift, Dermabrasion Blepharoplasty, Septorhinoplasty, Correction of Protruded Ears, Liposuction, Fat Transfer, Brachioplasty (upper arm lift), Breast Augmentation, Breast Reduction, Mastopexy, Abdominoplasty, and Thigh Lift.

Prof. Dr. Alkhatib also performs non-surgical procedures such as Fillers, Botox Injection, and Laser Treatment. His Reconstructive and Plastic Surgeries include: Congenital Anomalies (such as cleft lip/palate and hand deformities repair), excision of all types of Skin Tumors – malignant or benign, Breast Reconstruction, treatment of burn and burn complications like burn contractures.

Prof. Dr. Alkhatib holds memberships to several renowned bodies such as the French Society of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and the Iraqi Medical Society. He also has many publications & scientific participations to his credit.
