Tarek Ansari

Dr. Tarek Ansari graduated from Alexandria faculty of medicine, Egypt in 198. He has accumulated rich experience and further training in Anesthesia in several countries including Egypt, Kuwait and Edinburgh. Dr. Ansari has been a fellow of the faculty of Anaesthetists at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland since 1993, besides being a member of the European Society of Anaesthesia and member of the American Society of Anaesthesiologists.

Dr. Ansari joined Corniche hospital as a senior registrar in 1996, and was promoted to a consultant in the same year. He has been a Consultant Obstetric Anaesthetist for more than 14 years with special interest in Acute Pain Management, Ultrasound Guided Neuraxial Block, Anaesthetic management of critically ill mothers and quality and safety in Anaesthesia. He was also the Chief of Service for the Anaesthesia directorate in 2004.

Dr. Ansari is involved in setting up the protocols of the management of various medical problems in Obstetrics and participates in the process of Root Cause analysis for sentinel events at Corniche Hospital. He has also been involved in the process of preparing the Aneasthetic Directorate for the Joint Commission International (JCI) during 2007.Dr. Tarek has a long list of research papers to his credit- among which fifteen of them have been published in reputed medical journals. In addition, he has presented scores of presentations in international conferences and seminars.
