Milos Ruzicka

I studied at Medical Faculty,Masaryk University,Brno, Czech Republic. I was working for 15 years at the University Hospital in Brno and during that period I became qualified in the whole spectrum of the general and vascular surgery. Since 1979 I have had teaching appointment at the Masaryk University with professional qualification of PhD and Associate Professor of Surgery.

During my professional training I gained experience at prominent Surgical Departments in Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Sheffield, Leeds. I published 79 articles and delivered 175 lectures . General, vascular and oncological surgery were my main points of interest during my professional career. I have an excellent surgery record of the whole gastrointestinal tract operations but especially of the pancreas and upper GIT.

I was participating on the research programs aimed mostly on the problems of the pancreatic tumors and chronic pancreatitis. Surgery of the breast was part of my job in all hospitals where I was working. Most cases of the breast benign and malignant tumors I operated in the Cancer Institute in Brno where breast cancer cases are concentrated for complex multidisciplinary treatment. Vascular surgery is another branch of surgery where I have large experience with treatment of all peripheral vascular diseases. Before joining the surgical team at SKMC in Abu Dhabi I was working also in Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
