Numan Amir

Dr. Amir is a consultant Adult Neurologist at SKMC. He manages patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions like stroke, headaches, seizures, movement disorders and nerve and muscle diseases. He has particular expertise in managing stroke patients. Before joining SKMC, Dr Amir worked for 5 years as assistant professor in university of Manitoba, Canada at Health Sciences Center, Winnipeg.

There he was involved in acute treatment of stroke patients with t-PA in addition to running stroke prevention clinics as well as general neurology clinics. Dr Amir is American Board certified in adult neurology and in the sub-specialty of vascular neurology and is a member of American Academy of neurology and Canadian Stroke Consortium.
