Dr. Ralph Marktanner

Dr. Ralph Marktanner, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Critical Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He is a German Board certified Cardiac Surgeon and Critical Care Physician.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2015, he served as the Division Chief of the Adult Cardiac and Renal Transplantation Critical Care Unit at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.

He received the German Board Certification for Cardiac Surgery in 2003 and the German Board Certification for Critical Care Medicine in 2005.

He worked as a Cardiac Surgeon and Critical Care Physician at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf, Germany from 1997 to 2008.

Dr. Marktanner earned his Medical Degree from the Semmelweis University for Medical Sciences in Budapest, Hungary in 1991. In 2014, Dr. Marktanner has earned a Master's Degree in Health Business Administration (MHBA) from the Faculty of Law and Economics at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Nuremberg-Erlangen, Germany.
