Prof Hohmann is a German and South African educated and trained Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon with fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He has extensive experience in the field of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and with teaching and research.
Dr. Erik has worked at Rockhampton Hospital, Australia, an academic teaching hospital of the University of Queensland as a Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon with a focus on arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine and complex knee and shoulder reconstructions. He is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Division of Surgery, University of Queensland Medical School, Herston, Australia and an Extraordinary Professor at the School of Medicine, University of Pretoria, South Africa. Over the last 18 years he has been a team physician for various professional and semiprofessional sporting teams and individual athletes.
