Dr. Chacko Justin Joseph

Dr. Chacko Justin Joseph completed his graduation (MBBS) in 2006 from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), India. He completed his postgraduate residency training program (MD Pediatrics) from the same institute in 2011.

Following completion of his residency training, he worked as Senior Resident in Department of Neonatology (Level 3 NICU) at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre and Research Institute (SRMC & RI), India. Thereafter, he was selected for the Neonatal Fellowship Program at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospital – NHS Trust, UK – a Level 3 NICU providing specialized medical and surgical care for neonates of gestational age 22 weeks / 400 grams and above under the Thames Valley Neonatal Network. The fellowship program also provides training and experience in transport of critically sick neonates under the Southampton Oxford Neonatal Transport (SONeT) program.

After his training in Neonatal Medicine, Dr. Justin worked as Neonatal Specialist and Clinical Lead for Neonatal services at Renai Medicity Hospital. In 2016, he moved to the UAE and continued his medical practice as a Neonatal Specialist in Level 3 NICU at a reputed private hospital in Al Ain.

Dr. Justin has received training and certifications from reputed Neonatal training and research centers in UK, Canada, UAE, and India. To his credit, he has received awards and distinctions including: 2nd prize in a poster presentation at JIPMER Neonatology Conference in 2010, 1st rank in JIPMER post-graduate entrance exam in 2008, 6th rank in Kerala state undergraduate medical entrance exam in 2001.

His areas of interest include fluid and nutrition (enteral and parenteral) management in the extreme premature neonate, use of high frequency ventilation & inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) and pre- and post-operative management of neonatal surgical conditions. He is NRP and NLS-UK certified in neonatal resuscitation.
