She is American board certified in both Pediatrics and neonatal perinatal medicine with more than 20 years experience in both fields.

She completed her residency in pediatrics at Marshal University School of medicine in Huntington, West Virginia, and her neonatal – perinatal fellowship at University of Louisville – Kosair children hospital in Louisville, Kentucky,

She is American Heart Association – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) instructor
