Dr. Adnan Alatoom, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Dr. Alatoom is a Clinical Pathologist with expertise in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Disease Serology.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Alatoom was an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, US. He also held the role of Director of Clinical Microbiology, Serology and Test Referral at the affiliated William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Dallas, Texas, US. During his time serving there, he was responsible for diagnostic services in bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology.

Dr. Alatoom received his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan. He later received his PhD in Medical Microbiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas, US.

Dr. Alatoom currently resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and two children.​​
