Dr. Bartlomiej Piechowski-Jozwiak

Dr. Bartlomiej Piechowski-Jozwiak, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Piechowski-Jozwiak was a Consultant in Neurology and Clinical Lead in the Stroke Department at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington, Kent, UK. He then went on to serve as a Consultant in Neurology at King’s College Hospital, London, UK.

Dr. Piechowski-Jozwiak received his medical degree from the Medical University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland, where he also underwent his residency. He completed international fellowships in Vascular Neurology at Helsinki University Hospital, Helsinki, Finland. He later obtained his subspecialty qualification in Vascular Neurology and Neurosonology from the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, Lausanne, Switzerland in 2005.

Dr. Piechowski-Jozwiak is an active researcher in stroke. He has also written more than thirty peer-reviewed academic papers and book chapters on topics ranging from stroke aetiology, prevention, treatment and clinical presentation to concepts of hysteria and artistic performance in neurological diseases.
