Dr. Antonio Ramirez

Dr. Antonio Ramirez, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Ramirez served as a Surgical Anesthesia Consultant in the US Air Force in England. He was also Deputy Chief of Staff, Director of the Simulation Center and Medical Director of the Anesthesia Department at the 48th Medical Group Hospital.

Following his work with the US Air Force, Dr. Ramirez took up the role of Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, where he was responsible for organizing simulation courses for medical students. During his time at the Lerner College of Medicine, he helped with reorganizing the Residency Curriculum and in 2012 was voted Anesthesiologist of the Year by the residents and fellows.

Dr. Ramirez earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Charlottesville, Virginia, US. He then completed his residency in Anesthesia at the University of Virginia Health System.
