Dr. Lameese Tabaja

Dr. Lameese Tabaja, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Digestive Disease Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Tabaja completed her sub-specialty in Colorectal Surgery at Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels, Belgium, which also houses the European Cancer Center. In this role, she was involved in the management of complex colorectal and anal disorders, both benign or malignant. She also led enhanced recovery protocols and Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) to accelerate patients’ recovery.

Dr. Tabaja earned her sub-specialty degree in Colorectal Surgery from the Catholic University of Louvain in Brussels. She also received an Advanced Laparoscopic Training Certificate from the University of Strasbourg in France.

Her clinical expertise is in colorectal and anal surgery. She is devoted to evidence-based practice and alongside her clinical expertise. Dr. Tabaja has special interest in complex anal disorder management and has been involved in research activities and has presented in multiple conferences on the subject.​​​
