Dr. Maria Sfeir

Since her graduate in 20 years ago, she has been working with the same passion and care for the wellbeing of her patients. Safety, quality and patient satisfaction remain her essential goals.

Graduated as medical doctor from University Saint Joseph in Beirut and did her residency in anesthesiology at the American university of Beirut.

Obtained a fellowship in Neuroanesthesia at the University of Iowa, USA and a fellowship in Obstetric anesthesia at the University of Maryland, USA for another year. she worked for almost 10 years in the biggest governmental university hospital in Lebanon, where she dealt with all specialties and all emergencies as well as very critical patients.

In the last 5 years before coming to CMC Dubai, she worked in a private hospital providing anesthesia for ambulatory surgery and cosmetic surgery.

Her interest in quality and safety in medical care encouraged to obtain a diploma in quality and accreditation of hospitals from University Saint Joseph

Member of the Lebanese society for quality and safety in healthcare.

She trained in echo guided regional anesthesia to become a practice when general anesthesia is less or not indicated as well as for post-operative pain control after painful operations.

At CMC Dubai, she is perfectly confident that she will be working with the newest and safest equipment and monitoring devices in the anesthesia department that can guarantee the best environment for all patients, while fulfill her responsibilities with ethics and professionalism.
