Dr Nimeri finished his surgical residency training at Huron Hospital Cleveland Clinic Health System, his fellowship training in Minimally Invasive & Bariatric Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr Nimeri is the Head of the Division of General, Thoracic, & Vascular Surgery, Director of Bariatric & Metabolic Institute (BMI) Abu Dhabi, and Quality Review Officer of the Department of Surgery. Prior to joining SKMC, Dr Nimeri was on Faculty at UCSF Fresno Surgical Residency, and Minimally Invasive & Bariatric Surgery Program, and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at UCSF.
Dr Nimeri has American Board Certification in General Surgery since 2005; He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal & Endoscopic Surgery (SAGES), the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the International Federation for Surgery of Obesity (IFSO).
