Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems. Since ophthalmologists perform operations on eyes, they are considered to be both surgical and medical specialists.

Dr.K.S.Chhabra went to Iran as an ophthalmologist in 1976 and was subsequently promoted to a consultant, and then became head of department. He also went for short spells to US, Germany and Iran. Subsequently came to Dubai in 1984. He has been teaching since 1970 at the R.P.Center (Opthalmology) at A.I.I.M.S. He has also worked in Iran in the Health services for a long period of time. He is practicing since 1984 at the Al Fahim Medical Center (AFMC).

Since this is Dr. Chabra's personal website, here are a few details about him; He Finished studying Medicine in 1968. Studied one year of Cardiology residency but quickly changed to Opthalmology from 17th January. He enjoyed his masters residency and fellowship from a prestigious University in India. It is named All India Institute of Medical Science (A.I.I.M.S). He then started getting training from highly learned professors and subsequently he started working there as an Opthalmologist with Natural Society for prevention of Blindness India (NSPB).

After all this he got involved into a survey of screening 5000 school children, 5000 college boys and 5000 industrial workers.

Besides he got involved into a prestigious "I Hospital" at Modi Nagar with the co-operation of His Highness Jgarmal Modi who is the founder of Modi Nagar. On foundation stone of Modi Nagar I hospital,  he was into the His Highness Shri Faqruddin Ali, who was the President of India.

He offers Comprehensive eye care Treatment with special interest in Squint, Glaucoma, Trauma and Plastic repair.
