Aleyzabathu Philip

Dr. Philip received her bachelor of medicine from Kerala University, India. She further received her diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Dublin, Ireland in 1989. She worked in the UK and obtained her MRCOG in 1993 and FRCOG in 2005. Dr. Philip is trained to do Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy and Basics of Fetal Medicine from Queen Charlotte Hospital London.

Dr. Philip is the Consultant Obstetrician in charge of combined Diabetic Clinic in cooperation with Dr. Bashir Salih and the team of physicians both in Women's Health Center and Corniche Hospital.Having been with Corniche Hospital since the past thirty years, the highly experienced doctor is specialised in the management of all high risk obstetrics and gynaecology cases with special interest in medical problems associated with pregnancy. Dr. Philip also counsels patients with major problems related to pregnancy especially those with fetal anomalies.

Awards:
Dr. Philip has received several gold medals during her education period including a gold medal in Medicine, Surgery and Gynaecology in 1978, a gold medal for academic excellence in Ophthalmology in 1977 and a gold medal for highest marks in Social and Preventive Medicine in 1977. She also secured a gold medal for highest marks in L.M - Licencieate of Midwifery from Dublin besides receiving Edwin Lillie gold medal for D.G.O Ireland.
