Ammar Yasir Butt

Dr. Ammar Yasir Butt qualified for his MBBS at Nishter Medical College, Baha-ud-din Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan in 1986. In 1993, he became a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK and The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. 7 years later, he received his fellowship in Trauma and Orthopedics from The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK. Dr. Ammar is also Intercollegiate Board Certified in Orthopedics in UK.

Currently, he holds posts in Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) as examiner for pre-registration of Specialists and Consultants and as a member of HAAD's Medical Negligence Committee. Dr. Ammar's vast experience includes working in the field of General Surgery for various hospitals in Ireland for 4 years, then practicing in the field of Trauma and Orthopedics in UK for 6 years. In 2000, he moved to UAE and became the Chief of Orthopedics and Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at a government hospital in Abu Dhabi for 9 years. Dr. Ammar's special interest is in knee arthroplasty and arthroscopy.
