Aruna Kumari

Dr. Aruna Kumari has obtained her M.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad; her membership in the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists from London; and her Gynecologic Endoscopy Training in Antwerp, Belgium. She worked as Assistant Professor in the Medical College Service in Hyderabad until 1989, and later moved to Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Aruna worked as a Consultant and Chief of Services for Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, then as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist in government and large private hospital within UAE, respectively. During the course of her practice, she was designated Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics for the Gulf Medical College in Ajman, UAE. Dr. Aruna is interested in clinical research and has presented in several national and international conferences and published articles in various international journals.

She has special interest in gestational diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome, and her publications have been awarded the best clinical research paper awards from the Federation of International society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO). Her special areas of interest are high risk pregnancy, colposcopy and treatment of pre-invasive lesions of cervix, general gynecologic surgery, and gynecologic laparoscopy.
