Aster pharmacies are a part of Aster DM Healthcare. The pharmacy network previously known by its popular brand name ‘Medshop’ has taken the new identity of ‘Aster’ since 2010.

Our success story began with a modest beginning way back in 1989 with the opening of the first pharmacy, and there has been no turning back ever since. As the years went by, more outlets were added to our family and the network evolved to its existing size. We inaugurated our 100th pharmacy in April 2014 at the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) and aim at opening over 300 outlets by 2017, thus having positioned ourselves as the largest retail pharmacy chain in the UAE. Aster Pharmacy is active not just in the UAE, but also in Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Jordan.

Aster Pharmacy has received several awards and recognitions including a fourth time win of Best Pharmacy Award (2010, 2011, 2014 and 2015) by Dubai Service Excellence Scheme. In the GCC states, Medcare Hospital and Aster pharmacy received quality and service awards, respectively, from the Dubai Department of Economic Development in 2014. In 2015, Aster Pharmacy received the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award and given the ‘Superbrand’ status by the UAE Superbrands Council.
