In 1996 Dr. Balkis Hassan obtained her Medical Degree as well as her Masters degree in Internal Medicine at Tishreen University in Syria. In 2009 Dr. Hassan began to work as a Gastroeneterologist after she completed her second Masters degree in Gastroenterology. Dr. Hassan obtained experience as a Specialist in Gastroenterology while working at the National Hospital in Syria before moving to the UAE. After spending five years at Al-Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Balkis joined Al Mazroui Hospital. Dr. Hassan is specialized in treating diseases of the digestive system and the liver, and is experienced in endoscopy of the stomach and colon as well as procedures of hemorrhoids and anal fissures treatment.
