C. G. Venkitachalam

Dr. Venkitachalam was a Professor of Cardiology at Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, India for more than 17 years and later on moved to UAE and Prior to joining Burjeel Hospital, he practiced in Abu Dhabi for more than decade with a leading government medical institute. He is experienced in the management of all common acute and chronic cardiac conditions with particular expertise in the management of patients with heart rhythm disorders, heart failure and patients with coronary heart disease.

He has special interest in interventional cardiology including coronary angiography, complex coronary angioplasty, stenting and permanent pacemaker implantation and pediatric cardiology (diagnosis of congenital heart defects, performing diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations and for the ongoing management of the sequelae of heart disease in infants, children and adolescents). Dr. Venkitachalam was honorary visiting Professor at Boston Children’s Hospital’s; he also leads an active clinical research and teaching program.
