Dr. Prateek Agarwal, MS, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining, Dr. Agarwal was in a private practice at the Nayan Eye Care and Laser Centre, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, as a cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon. He has performed thousands of cataract surgeries, lasik and cornea transplants, for private patients and through programs sponsored by non-government organizations. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at Subharti Medical College, Uttar Pradesh, teaching cornea and cataract treatment.
Alongside his expertise in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery, Dr. Agarwal has extensive experience in the management of infectious keraititis and therapeutic/tectonic cornea transplantation.
He graduated with a medical degree from Madurai Medical College in Madurai, India and completed a residency with the renowned Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, one of the world’s leading eye hospitals, particularly for cataract surgery. He completed an additional senior residency in corneal techniques at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India and his International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) Fellowship in cornea and external diseases at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland.
