Dr. Abdelmajeed Mahmoud

Dr. Abdelmajeed has more than 13 years of experience in his field. He completed his MBBCh from the Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University, Egypt in 2007. He then received his residency and Clinical Master’s Degree in Gastroenterology (MSc) from Assiut University Hospital in 2012 and was appointed as a faculty member in Assiut and Aswan University Hospitals, Egypt. He got a Hepatology Fellowship from the Institute of Liver Studies, King’s College Hospital, London, UK in 2014. Subsequently, he finished his Medical Doctorate Degree in Gastroenterology (MD) in 2017 and worked as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in prestigious tertiary university hospitals in his home country. In 2018, he moved to the UAE where he joined a private tertiary hospital in Dubai.

He attended and participated in many national and international conferences and endoscopy workshops in Egypt, Germany, Tunisia, UK and UAE. He is a member of various national and international societies in the field of Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopies. He has a keen interest in the field of research and has many publications in highly reputed international medical journals.

Dr. Abdelmajeed is an expert in management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases like: GERD (heartburn), gastritis, peptic ulcer, inflammatory bowel diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, acute and chronic diarrhea, constipation, dyspepsia, dysphasia, fatty liver, viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, autoimmune liver diseases. He is performing diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures like gastroscopy, colonoscopy, stricture dilatation, endoscopic management of acute and chronic gastrointestinal-bleeding including variceal band ligation, injection therapy and clipping, endoscopic polypectomy, endoscopic extraction of gastrointestinal foreign bodies.
