Dr. Abdulnasir Arida

Dr. Abdulnaser Arida is a consultant Psychiatrist, with 20 years of experience in the field of psychiatry. He worked in the Behavioral sciences pavilion in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi as a specialist and then as a consultant psychiatrist. For the last three years before moving from SKMC, he was the head of the adult general psychiatry clinic.

During his work in The Behavioral Sciences pavilion in SKMC he was the responsible doctor for the undergraduate training program for medical students and he was chairing the continuous medical education program, and he was a faculty member of the residency psychiatry training program. He was participating in several committees like drug formulary committee, JCIA committee , ECT committee, forensic psychiatry committee and others .

Dr. Arida moved to private sector in Abu Dhabi in 2013 and he worked as a consultant psychiatrist at American center for 4 years. He has extensive experience in lecturing and teaching. He has conducted workshops and presented on different psychiatric topics.

Dr. Arida has a significant clinical experience in treating psychiatric disorders and has a special interest in treating anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social phobia, schizophrenia, and psychiatric disorder in children. He is an expert in Trans-cranial magnetic stimulation for treatment of depression. He graduated from the faculty of medicine, Aleppo University and then completed the Arab Board in Psychiatry in United Arab Emirates. He is a member of the American psychiatric association
