Dr. Abed Hmaid

Dr. Abed Hmaid, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Hospital Medicine department of the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Hmaid was a Hospitalist at INOVA Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia where he helped improve the quality of care and experience for hospitalized patients.

Dr. Hmaid received his medical degree from I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy in Moscow, Russia. He completed his residency at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, Case Western Reserve Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.

Dr. Hmaid is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM).

Dr. Hmaid resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and three children. He enjoys playing football and traveling the world.​​
