Dr. Abeesh Padmanabha Pillai

Dr. Abeesh completed his MBBS and MD (Internal Medicine) from Government medical college, Madurai, India. He did his Nephrology training from Madras medical college, Chennai, India. His experience in Nephrology spans 8 years. He worked as consultant Nephrologist in various institutions in Kerala and Tamil nadu. His areas of interest include preventive nephrology, critical care nephrology, interventional nephrology, transplant nephrology and renal replacement therapy.

His research work in Anti-Phospholipase A2 receptor antibody in membranous nephropathy was first of its kind in India for which he was awarded first prize in Indian society of nephrology (southern chapter). His work in ‘evaluation of glycaemic repercussions in haemodialysis patients’ has been awarded ‘Young investigator award’ from PC Mary Tanker foundation. He has 4 publications to his credit. He has been conducting awareness talks in various forums.
