Following structured medical training in the UK, Dr Abubaker Ahmed worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist at teaching and university hospitals in the UK before joining ICLDC in 2012. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr Ahmed has been actively involved in medical education at the Universities of Liverpool and Manchester.
Also an author within the diabetes world, Dr Ahmed has published and written papers, articles and chapters in a host of important journals and books. He is also a peer reviewer for journals.
