Qualifications
Dr. Adel Karrani belonged to the special batch of UAE students honored to be sponsored by the government to study medicine abroad. Dr. Karrani completed his undergraduate course at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, following which he earned a Master’s in Medical Science from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK. He is also a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK.

Apart from being specialist Psychiatrist at University Hospital Sharjah, Dr. Adel Karrani is associated the American center for Psychiatry and neurology as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer and a consultant psychiatrist at its branches across UAE.

Dr. Karrani worked for five years as a consultant Psychiatrist in Psychiatry department Rashid hospital till 2015. Before that, he has served as a Specialist Psychiatrist at Al Kuwaiti Hospital as well as for Al Amal Hospital’s Mental Health Services, both of which are under the Ministry of Health, UAE.

Dr. Karrani has a great interest in mental health education for the health workers and public. He delivers regular lectures at regional and international conferences and has several TV interviews and [publications in printed media. He is a currently the president of Psychiatry division at Emirates Medical Association.
