​Dr. Allison C. Herbert

Dr. Allison C. Herbert, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Executive Health in the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Herbert practiced internal medicine at Perspective Health & Wellness with Atrium Healthcare in Charlotte, North Carolina. She focused on preventative medicine, lifestyle management, traditional internal medicine and executive health. Prior to joining Perspective Health & Wellness, she practiced for ten years at Mecklenburg Medical Group with Atrium HealthCare in Charlotte, North Carolina where she focused on women’s health, geriatric medicine, preventative medicine and general internal medicine.

Dr. Herbert served as Medical Director of her practice at Mecklenburg Medical Group where she was responsible for implementing, monitoring and ensuring achievement of physician performance standards, identifying opportunities for process and quality improvements and advising senior management of the same. She also served the following committees at Atrium Healthcare, Clinical Quality Improvement, High Risk Medication in the Elderly and the Diabetic Care Pathway.

Dr. Herbert also served as the Internal Medicine Medical Director at the Center for Advanced Practice with Atrium HealthCare in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was responsible for overseeing the one year fellowship program for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Dr. Herbert received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She completed her residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Herbert resides in Abu Dhabi with her husband and two children. She enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. ​ ​
