Dr. Aly Bernard Khalil

With a special interest in the management of thyroid disorders, Dr Aly Khalil has chalked up wide ranging clinical and teaching experience, while authoring multiple publications. His most notable achievement prior to joining ICLDC in 2013 was to establish the thyroid programme at Sheikh Khalifa Medical city in 2008. At ICLDC Dr Aly is part of a multidisciplinary team composed of local and international experts looking after patients with thyroid cancer. He treats a range of thyroid disorders, including conducting fine needle biopsies under ultrasound guidance and ablating thyroid cysts noninvasively with alcohol. He is in the process of starting a program for the ablation of thyroid nodules using thermo ablation at ICLDC.
