Dr. Amer Wedyan

Mr. Amer Wedyan is Speech and Language Therapist at ACPN. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2010. Mr. Wedyan has been in the UAE healthcare rehabilitation sector since 2011 across different cities.

Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree in 2010, Mr. Wedyan started out initially working at a government center in Jordan. He moved to the UAE in 2011, where he worked as Speech and Language Pathologist at Cedra Center for two years. He was then appointed at Ministry of Social Affairs in Dubai in 2013 where he worked as Speech and Language Pathologist for three years. He then moved to Abu Dhabi in 2016 to Berlin Medical and Neurological Rehabilitation as Head of Department for Speech and Language Therapy. He was tasked with evaluation and diagnosis of new cases and with therapeutic intervention planning. He supervised therapy sessions and worked with families on the progress of their child to determine short and long-term goals and outcomes.

Mr. Wedyan is skilled at management of cases related to dysarthria, aphasia and apraxia, autism spectrum disorders, down syndrome and other developmental disorders, ADHD, stuttering, articulation disorders, as well as hearing impairments. He also has completed programs in Applied Behavior Analysis, and Hanen – Learning Language and Loving It. He has taken up workshops in the treatment of swallowing disorders and oral placement therapy - TalkTools.
